UMW: BIRTHDAY PARTY!!

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN:
BIRTHDAY PARTY!!

All women of Grace — members and visitors — are invited to attend the Annual UMW Birthday Party on Wednesday, January 18th at 7:00 pm, honoring female missionaries and deaconesses of the United Methodist Church.

Gloria Bowden will give a short presentation on the mission work of Samaritan’s Well. Of course, birthday cake and ice cream will be served!!

LADIES, PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW, AND COME JOIN THE PARTY!

Attendees are asked to please bring a gift to be donated to women of Samaritan’s Well in Lexington. Suggested gift items are: ladies’ disposable razors; ladies’ shave gel; ladies’ antiperspirant/deodorant; shower gel or body wash; Vaseline – type body lotion; lip balm.

COVERED DISH BREAKFAST JANUARY 28

The first meeting of the UMW Reading Group will be held Saturday, January 28, 9:00 AM, in the fellowship hall.

We’ll have a covered dish breakfast, so bring a breakfast dish to share. Books to be discussed will come from the “Education for Mission” category.

Reading program materials can be found in the UMW Room.
All women are invited to come — even if a book hasn’t been read! Come and see what the UMW reading program is all about.

John Chiles’ Cooking Class

Each 4th Wednesday from 7—9 pm
in the Grace Fellowship Hall/Kitchen

Cooking classes are interactive as well as hands on. John would like to know what you might like to learn or see.

A sign up sheet will be in the Narthex. Please sign up if you plan to attend as this helps John to plan how much food to bring and how to set up so as many people can easily see.

It is at no cost to you. It is a lot of fun and I hope you enjoy.
